Chaos Theory Art Show is returning to the Brimstone! This highly anticipated annual exhibit will take place at the Henning Cultural Center in Sulphur, Louisiana, located at 923 S. Ruth St. The exhibition will run from September 28th to November 9th, providing a unique and exciting opportunity for artists to showcase their work.

THIS IS AN OPEN THEME - WORKS NEED NOT FIT THE SUB-THEME TO BE FEATURED IN THIS EXHIBIT

One of the highlights of this year's show is the theme, which revolves around "Toys." The exhibition aims to explore the toys that shaped our childhoods, offering in-depth looks at their significance and impact. The organizers are particularly interested in featuring collectables, art about toys, artwork made with toys, and repainted/repurposed toys. However, the theme of "chaos" remains a fundamental aspect of the show, and artworks that do not directly fit the toy theme will still be accepted.

Artists who wish to participate should submit their entries by email to Trahan@BrimstoneMuseum.org.

All entries must be emailed to us, along with the following information:

Artwork entry limit - 8 per artist. We will be accepting between 1-5 works per person, depending on size.

The deadline to submit artwork HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO SEPTEMBER 15TH. It is important to note that artworks must be dropped off in person, as the organizers are unable to accept works sent by mail.

To make arrangements to drop off artwork, please email the curator, Thom Trahan.

Once the exhibition concludes, artists are responsible for picking up their artwork. The exhibit take down period is between November 10th and November 18th, and all works must be collected by the latter date. It is crucial to retrieve artworks within this time frame to ensure their insurance coverage. Any works not picked up by November 18th cannot be insured.

The Chaos Theory Art Show promises to be a remarkable event, providing artists with a platform to explore the nostalgic realm of toys while embracing the essence of chaos. Artists and toy enthusiasts alike are encouraged to participate and contribute to this vibrant exhibition celebrating the intersection of art, childhood memories, and creative expression.
