♟️ Casa de Ajedrez – Summer Chess Free Play When: 1st & 3rd Saturdays – June 1 & 15, July 6 & 20, August 3 & 17 | Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Drop in for free, casual chess play at the Brimstone Museum Complex. All skill levels welcome.

 

🔩 Nuts & Bolts Art Show When: May 21 – June 18 | Closing Reception: June 18, 5–8 PM

A charity exhibit featuring thrifted artwork donated by Care Help of Sulphur and remixed by local artists. Silent auction closes at 7 PM — winners take their pieces home at 7:30. Admission always free.

 

🎞️ Short Film Fest When: May 30th

A full day of indie short films from emerging and established filmmakers. Free popcorn, drinks, and community vibes.

 

🧒 Brimstone Kids Art Camp When: June 13 & July 18

Free STEAM art camps for ages 5–12. Snacks provided — dress for mess! Click this link to sign up!

 

🎨 Art Night When: Tuesdays, 4–7 PM | June 23, July 21, August 11, September 22

Drop in, bring your own supplies or use ours, make something, be around people who get it. Open to all ages. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

🦸 Serial Fest When: July 25th

Watch vintage serials all day long with free pizza, popcorn, and drinks.

 

🖼️ Solo Showcase Exhibit When: July 10 – August 20 | Reception: July 16, 5–8 PM

🌀 Chaos Theory – Open Call When: Open Call July 1 – August 20 | Show: September 10 – November 12 | Reception: September 17, 5–8 PM

Themes: pop culture, nostalgia — with a sub-theme of Larger than Life (playing with scale: small things big, big things small). Grant funding available. Application opens July 1st.
