''Early Morning on Ouiska Chitto'' illustrates the beauty and tranquillity of an early morning boat trip meandering among the piney woods of Central Louisiana. Ouiska Chitto Creek is one of the fifty designated natural scenic rivers of Louisiana. Tourists, fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the beautiful rivers, creeks and bayous of both Texas and Louisiana.

Barbara Seegraves, a native of Michigan, moved to Louisiana in 1976. She is a self-taught artist and works in both oils and acrylics. She has received numerous blue ribbons and commendations in art competitions. Barbara paints landscapes with great depth of field and sometimes with a ''Ghost of the Past'' faded into the background.
