The modest, rustic structure of Dugas Landing looks much the same as it did in 1933 when it was built by Joe Dugas and his wife, Rosie. Simple and comfortable, it smells of fresh shrimp and hot coffee and beckons hunters and fishermen to its stock of last minute supplies before commencing the day's sport.

Not only is Elton Louviere one of Southwest Louisiana's most respected artists, but his original paintings and limited edition prints are collected throughout the U. S. A two-time directory cover artist, Louviere's work was selected due to his innate appreciation for Louisiana's natural beauty which is vividly reflected in his paintings.
