1988 - General Store and Depot

by John Berkey

The J.T. Henning General Store and the Sulphur City Train Depot are pictured as they were in 1910. The store, one of the first in town, was built about 1893. The Southern Pacific Railway was the main method of transportation for people and merchandise. Henning General Store is gone now -- replaced by a modern office building. In 1975 the train depot was moved to Frasch Park where it houses the Brimstone Museum.
