Boudin Wars 2022 - TBD

Boudin Wars is a Sulphur tradition! We are working hard to bring this event back to SWLA. After the devastating damage to our facilities, Boudin Wars was put on hold and we are currently organizing our efforts. We may or may not be able to host this event again, so please stay tuned as our Board of Directors determines if this is possible for 2022!

The tentative/potential date for Boudin Wars 2022 is October 22nd. This event always coincides with the annual Stars and Stripes in the Park Classic Car show, which is a go for this year!

Boudin Wars is an upcoming, family-friendly event happening during one fun-filled September weekend in Sulphur, Louisiana.

Culinary traditions run deep in Louisiana, and boudin is one of the unique food items that can be found in the state. It’s a blend of pork, rice, onions and parsley served in a sausage casing. The annual Boudin Wars will take place inside the newly constructed Annex in the Brimstone Museum Complex located at 900 Huntington Street in Sulphur, La. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local restaurants and stores will be allowing visitors to sample their boudin recipes, and visitors will get to taste the “Best Boudin in Southwest Louisiana.”

Local restaurants and chefs can also participate in the event and throw their hat in the ring for the title of “Best Boudin in Southwest Louisiana!”  Contact Thom Trahan at 337-527-0357 for details on how to get involved!

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased starting in mid-September. Each ticket allows the bearer to get a small sample from each boudin vendor. Boudin Wars is an event previously recognized by the Southeastern Tourism Society (STS) as an “STS Top 20 Event,” and is sponsored by the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
