1980 - Cattle Drive

By Bud Breen

In the 1930's residents of Southwest Louisiana were being introduced to telephone services. Telephone poles became an accepted part of the rural scenery. In contrast, a cattle drive along public roads was not uncommon since cattle and agriculture were the biggest industries at that time.

About the Artist:

Bud Breen is an outstanding artist of the Southwest with an innate appreciation for the beauty of this area. The authenticity in Bud's pictures comes from his knowledge of life on some of the largest ranches in the Southwest, his acting in numerous western movies including ''The Alamo,'' and the advice he receives from his Cherokee wife, Nakai. Collectors in all parts of the country prize Breen's western paintings.
