In 1978 Cameron Telephone Company celebrated its 50th Anniversary. To commemorate this special occasion, company officials commissioned artist, Will Hinds, to paint an original work of art to
serve as the directory cover of this anniversary year.
The success of this first cover encouraged the company to continue the practice of using only original works of art which depict the area's history and/or natural beauty to grace the covers of
all company directories.
From these originals, prints were created and offered to all telephone company subscribers as a token of appreciation. [Today, Cameron Telephone's subscribers eagerly anticipate the arrival
of the directory and continue to collect the artwork that has become a trademark of Cameron Telephone Company.] (no longer available)
